TextUrgy Search & Navigation
- WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Finding specific information that you are looking for, but also information that is relevant to the topic that you are dealing with.
- HOW CAN IT BE SOLVED?
A traditional keyword search engine looks at the words that the user puts in the search field and returns documents that contain the word(s). It does not understand what the words mean. The results is usually a large amount of information that offers no or limited value.
The TextUrgy Search and Navigation tool guides the users to the information that they are looking for. It starts with a keyword search before it lets the users navigate themselves to what they are after.
A Dynamic Table of Contents
TextUrgy has developed a semantic technology that analyses what words mean. Due to its understanding of the contents of the information the TextUrgy Search and Navigation tool is able to present a dynamic table of contents based on the documents in the initial search result.
Setting a Context
From the dynamic table of contents the user is able to set a context based on words or even themes. A theme could be ‘economy’, ‘organisation names’, ‘places’, ‘problems’ just to mention a few.
Using a Taxonomy
In order to present a dynamic table of contents textUrgy has developed a very comprehensive taxonomy, a classification library, consisting of 400 000 words. It is possible to adjust the taxonomy via a user interface or even import complete external libraries.
Visual Guide
In addition to navigating via a tree structure textUrgy offers a more visual user interface through a Tag Cloud. Via this interface the user is instantly able to see what words or themes that are more prevalent than others.
